MNP (micro nutrient powder)

MNP is a type of dietary supplement which is recommended by WHO, UNICEF and WORLD FOOD REGULATORY that is designed to provide essential micronutrients in powder form to ages varying from 6months to 5 year olds . During early childhood, rapid growth and development place increased demands on nutrient intake if not provided can cause various hazardous situations leading to deficiencies of vitamins and minerals. Multiple micronutrients deficiencies is a decades old problem prevailing among children in Pakistan affecting their growth immunity and brain development which is leading towards high burden of morbidity and infant mortality. In order to meet these deficiencies WHO, UNICEF and WORLD FOOD PROGRAM recommended a blend of micronutrients which is an evidence based formulation to be given to every child on a daily basis. MNP helps bridge the gap between dietary intake and nutrient requirements, ensuring children receive adequate levels of essential vitamins and minerals necessary for healthy growth and development. Our MNP are typically formulated to address specific nutritional deficiencies, particularly in populations where access to a diverse and balanced diet is limited. Adequate intake of micronutrients supports optimal physical growth, cognitive development, and immune function in young children.

Micronutrients deficiency is a major health problem around the world that we at sciotech keep to ensure that our infants/ children are healthy with reduced infections that contribute to impaired physical and mental development of an infant child. Our primary aim is to prevent or treat micronutrients deficiencies, which can have significant effects on growth development, particularly in vulnerable populations such as infants, young children, and individuals living in low resource settings. MNP ensures a healthy weight gain, improved motor skills, enhanced learning abilities, and reduced susceptibility to infections and diseases. MNP is cost-effective compared to other interventions aimed at improving child nutrition and health outcomes.

Convenient and Versatile: MNP are easy to administer and can be added to a variety of foods and beverages commonly consumed by young children, such as porridge, yogurt, milk, or fruit puree. This makes it convenient for caregivers to ensure children receive their daily dose of essential nutrients without resistance.
